Things I’ve built, in varying states of repair. Some are still running. Some aren’t. One never made it out of the notebook.

Still up

• RSOLV — Automated security vulnerability detection that validates each finding with a test before opening a pull request with the fix. Runs in CI.
• HailPass — Text and email alerts 30 to 60 minutes before hail reaches your address, along Colorado’s Front Range.
• Broomsday — Street-sweeping alerts for Denver. Sweep day doesn’t text you; Broomsday does.
• GamLight — Solar bottle bulbs installed in schools across The Gambia: safe, cheap light for off-grid classrooms, in service of literacy.
• Possumus — A multi-source POSSE fanout daemon: it watches this site’s feed and syndicates each new post onward to Substack and Kit, so the copy you’re reading stays the canonical one. Free as in beer and as in source. I host an instance at possumus.dylanfitzgerald.net — email me if you’d like an account.
• ds4-plan — Wrapper scripts and operational state for running antirez’s ds4 — a Metal-only DeepSeek V4 Flash inference engine — on Apple Silicon. One command in front, a lot of bookkeeping behind it.
• Casbah — A self-hosted Reticulum mesh network: LoRa transport nodes at 926.750 MHz, a Nomad Network daemon, and an I2P fallback, so the thing keeps working when the usual infrastructure doesn’t. No link on this one, and that’s the point: it’s the node configuration for a specific private network — frequencies, topology, who talks to whom — which is a good deal more useful to describe than to publish. If you’re building something similar, Reticulum itself is the place to start.

• milehigh.community — A Pleroma instance, back when running a corner of the fediverse yourself still felt like the obvious move.
• avail.space — An early stab at calendaring and availability sharing.

Never shipped

• todaybuteasy.com — Zero-decision reordering of the services you already use, for parents of newborns. Never got past the concept.
