Recovering; Readjusting; Grateful.

After a challenging couple of weeks, we’re looking ever so much better. My wife recovers continually; our daughter is healthy, if sleepless; I’m starting to get back to work. A few weeks away (and just as likely sleep loss) makes for a remarkable state of rustiness, but I’ll get back to it.

So: recovering, slowly, and starting to get my mind back on the frankly less-important but still essential business concerns. It’s rather a lot to balance, with the State Of The World and picking up after time away without really being fully present. Which I am definitely not: the enormity of All The Stuff I Have To Do is such that I don’t reliably have my tasks tracked outside of my head, which leaves me in a perpetual fog.

But: My family is healthy. That’s what’s important.

Did that make your day a little better?
